U.S. Debt Clock

$16.3 trillion deficit and rising ($16,287,863,299,000)

$142,603 in debt for each taxpayer in the U.S.  –  $52,000 per each individual

$3.5 trillion in Government spending vs. $2.4 trillion in revenue – this means that even by taxes on the top 2% (providing an addition $2 billion in revenue) we will still be spending +1.5 times our income.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I know that I cannot afford to pay $142,603 to pay off the debt and I know my kids (including my 5 year old granddaughter) cannot afford to pay $52,000 to pay off the debt.

It is unconscionable for our elected officials to hand down such a overwhelming burden upon us and our families and behave as if everything is okay.

It is criminal that the President and the Democratic caucus continues to sit back and do NOTHING to decrease our increasing debt (other than spout idiotic rhetoric about raising taxes – as if that will do any good whatsoever).
